WHO WE ARE
Denton Holme & Longsowerby Community Engagement is a local community group which formalised as an unregistered charity in March 2022 and as of January 2023 is in the process of registering as a Community Interest Organisation (CIO) with the Charity Commission.
The objects of our group is to promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the community in the neighbourhoods of Denton Holme and Longsowerby, and the wider city of Carlisle. This includes, but is not exclusively limited to, the providing of recreation and leisure opportunities; the relief of poverty, distress and sickness; and the advancement of community development. Ultimately, our group seeks to bring local people together, to build community, and improve quality of life.
Our group is open to all and we do not discriminate on sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, race, or of political, religious or other opinions.
